Selecting a rubber injection molding machine involves more than clamping tonnage. Platen rigidity, working height, material temperature control and anti-overflow feeding design can all affect flash control, material-temperature stability and day-to-day operating efficiency.

Direct Clamping and Platen Rigidity

Hydraulic cylinders apply clamping force directly to the platen, creating a short force-transmission path and even load distribution. This design supports flash control and can reduce downstream trimming work.

Low-bed Structure

The low-bed design reduces the machine working height, making material loading and part removal easier for operators without requiring excessive reaching or bending.

Stable Material Temperature to Prevent Premature Vulcanization

Automatic temperature control keeps the rubber material in the charging barrel at a stable temperature before injection. Unlike thermoplastics, rubber compounds must be managed carefully to prevent premature crosslinking or vulcanization inside the material path.

A specialized feeding device and anti-overflow nozzle design help reduce material loss and cleanup work, making per-shot material usage easier to control.

HMI, Injection and Material Control

  • Human Machine InterfacePLC and HMI control are standard equipment. Production parameters can be stored and quickly recalled, reducing setup time during product or compound changeovers.
  • Injection SystemThree-stage pressure and four-stage speed control, with injection position feedback by potentiometer, make it easy to match injection settings to rubber compounds of different hardness and formulation.
  • Charging UnitAutomatic temperature control maintains stable rubber temperature in the charging barrel before injection, helping prevent premature vulcanization.

Hydraulic and Clamping Systems

  • Integrated Hydraulic CircuitThe hydraulic circuit is integrated into the machine body and uses proportional flow and pressure control valves, delivering responsive operation and high productivity.
  • Auxiliary Double CylinderA high-speed mold opening and closing design that significantly reduces molding cycle time and increases output.
  • Temperature Control DevicePLC computation with SSR control keeps the feed barrel and charging barrel at a stable temperature, preventing the rubber compound from vulcanizing inside the barrel.
  • REER Safety Light CurtainA REER safety light curtain monitors the operating area to help protect operators and equipment.

Mold Handling Devices

  • Outside EjectorThis optional device separates the mold plates on three-layer and larger molds so finished parts can be removed more easily. Automatic part ejection and mold-plate flipping are available as options.
  • Core EjectorDesigned for multi-layer molds, this device holds the middle or upper mold plate in position during operation.
  • Lower Platen Sliding DeviceThis optional device makes material loading and finished-part removal easier for the operator. The slide rails are hardness-treated for longer service life.

What rubber materials can the JD-RH Series process?

JING DAY positions the JD-RH Series for natural rubber, synthetic rubber, oil-resistant rubber, heat-resistant rubber and reclaimed rubber products. Actual suitability should still be evaluated according to the compound formulation, hardness and vulcanization system.

How is direct clamping different from other clamping methods?

With direct clamping, hydraulic cylinders apply force directly to the platen, creating a short and straightforward clamping-force transmission path. For rubber molding, platen rigidity and force distribution are important because they can affect flash control and part consistency. Suitability should still be evaluated according to mold layers and product precision requirements.

How should I select the required clamping tonnage?

Clamping force alone is not enough. Product projected area, number of cavities, mold layers, required shot volume and platen size should be evaluated together. The application range can also differ among shot-volume configurations within the same tonnage. Providing a product drawing or mold specification is recommended before final machine selection.

Does the machine need to be readjusted when changing rubber hardness or compound formulation?

Yes, but the setup does not need to start from zero. The injection system provides three-stage pressure and four-stage speed control for different rubber compounds, while the PLC and HMI can store and recall production parameters for faster changeovers. The actual number of recipes that can be stored depends on the controller specification.

What information should I bring for an on-site consultation?

We recommend preparing a product drawing or sample, rubber compound and hardness, number of cavities and mold layers, current molding cycle and defect rate, and expected production capacity. More complete information allows the team to evaluate the machine model and auxiliary configuration more efficiently.
